Terms of service
The agreement between you and Ordessa when you order from a shop, run a shop, or let an AI assistant act for you.
Who we are
Ordessa is provided by Damian Van de Kauter, Belgium. Contact: support@ordessa.org.
Ordering from a shop
- Ordessa passes your order to the shop. The purchase is between you and the shop: the shop sets its prices, prepares the food and is responsible for it.
- Nothing is paid through Ordessa. You pay the shop when you collect your order, in the way the shop accepts.
- Allergen and diet information is what the shop and the catalogue state. If an allergy matters, ask at the counter as well.
- A pickup time is the shop's commitment, not Ordessa's. A shop may cancel an order it cannot prepare.
Running a shop
- A shop's accounts are for the people the shop gives them to. Each person keeps their own password private and is responsible for what is done with their account.
- The shop is responsible for what its catalogue says — names, prices, ingredients, allergens and diets — and for honouring the orders it accepts.
- Platform-wide catalogue rows are maintained by Ordessa; a shop that lists one is responsible for selling what it describes.
Ordessa is free of charge for shops today. That will change: before any fee applies, every shop is told the price at least 30 days in advance and agrees to it first, and a shop that does not agree simply stops, owing nothing.
A shop may stop using Ordessa at any time, and we may end a shop's use with 30 days' notice, or at once if it misuses the service. When a shop leaves, we hand over or delete its catalogue and its orders, as it asks.
Acting through an AI assistant
- You may connect an AI assistant to your Ordessa account. Connecting one is your choice, made on an Ordessa page, and you can end it at any time.
- The assistant acts as you. Whatever it does through Ordessa is done with your account's permissions and counts as done by you.
- Ordessa enforces your account's permissions on every request. It does not decide what the assistant does, and does not review the assistant's suggestions: check a change before you confirm it, especially one that deletes something or changes prices customers see.
- Confirming each action is the assistant's own feature. Ordessa marks which of its tools delete something so that the assistant can ask you, but cannot guarantee how an assistant presents that.
- Your use of the assistant itself is governed by its provider's terms, not by these.
- We may end a connection, or turn a tool off, to protect accounts or the service.
Using Ordessa fairly
- Do not try to reach another person's account, a shop that is not yours, or data you were not given.
- Do not overload the service, probe it for weaknesses outside the rules on the security page, or use it for anything unlawful.
Availability and liability
We work to keep Ordessa running and correct, but it is provided as it is, and we cannot promise that it is never interrupted or free of mistakes. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss — lost sales, a missed order, lost data — arising from using Ordessa or from it being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or takes away a right the law gives a consumer.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Belgian law. A dispute we cannot settle between us goes to the Belgian courts of the district where the publisher lives. If you are a consumer living in the European Union, the consumer protections of your own country still apply to you, and you may also go to the courts where you live.
Changes
When these terms change, the new version is published here with its date, and a change that affects you is announced before it applies. Version of 3 October 2026.
